On October 8th, 2025, Kaeme and Bôhten brought a transformative health and wellness initiative to the communities of Juaso and Bososo. Building on Kaeme’s decade-long commitment to sustainable livelihoods and women empowerment, the collaboration combined free eye screenings, prescription glasses, protective wellness kits, and education on eye and skin health, all in one powerful outreach.

Over 50 community members participated, uncovering a range of eye health conditions, from refractive errors and dry eyes to more serious concerns like glaucoma suspects and matured cataracts. Those requiring further medical attention were referred to Koforidua Government Hospital, while others received immediate interventions including therapeutic eye drops and 26 prescription glasses.

But Kaeme’s impact went beyond eye care. Each participant also received a beauty and protection care kit, helping to safeguard their skin and reinforce daily wellness habits. This dual focus, eye and skin health, reflects Kaeme’s holistic approach to ESG, combining health, education, and empowerment to create tangible, measurable outcomes for the community.

Juaso and Bososo, communities long impacted by mining and environmental challenges, now have access to tools that improve both health and livelihood. By integrating skill-building, wellness, and care, Kaeme and Bôhten are demonstrating how African-led brands can solve pressing challenges with purpose-driven action and measurable results.
