In 2025, Kaeme proudly marks 10 years of redefining personal care and wellness. Over the past decade, our journey has gone beyond creating premium, natural body care products. We have built community, empowered women, and championed sustainability.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are expanding our impact beyond skincare into holistic well-being. This year, we are partnering with Bohten Eyewear to commemorate World Sight Day on October 9, 2025, bridging the vital link between eye health, skin health, and environmental sustainability.

Why This Matters

In Juaso, a farming community in Ghana’s Eastern Region, livelihoods have been threatened by illegal mining (galamsey) and environmental pollution. The consequences are devastating:

• Red dust and toxins affect both skin and eye health.
• Limited access to quality healthcare, especially eye care services.
• Shrinking opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

Kaeme has already taken steps through the Juaso Initiative, training local women in black soap-making as an alternative livelihood. But we know more needs to be done, especially when it comes to health and resilience.

Our Shared Vision

Through this collaboration, Kaeme and Bohten will bring wellness beyond beauty and vision beyond sight. Together, we aim to:

• Raise Awareness: Educate the community on how pollution affects both skin and eye health, while sharing practical tips for prevention and care.
• Provide Direct Support: Deliver free eye screenings, prescription glasses, and protective wellness kits to the Juaso community.
• Strengthen Sustainability: Showcase how African brands can lead in creating holistic, sustainable solutions at the intersection of beauty, health, and environment.
